VII Gallery, Brooklykn, NY

In the spring of 2009, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and First Second Books presented a unique exhibit featuring photos and illustrations from the graphic novel The Photographer. This work was exhibited at the VII Gallery in Dumbo, Brooklyn and was viewed by hundreds of visitors.

The exhibit offered a sample of the book that combined the late photojournalist Didier Lefèvre’s dramatic images and Emmanuel Guibert’s stunning artwork to bear witness to the hardships endured by the Afghan people throughout the Afghan-Soviet conflict—and to the present day.
