On August 26, a Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) rescue ship, the Bourbon Argos, completed two rescue operations, saving some 800 refugees from smugglers' boats in the Mediterranean Sea. The first boat was a large wooden fishing boat in distress with approximately 650 people on board; the second was a rubber boat first spotted by a Tunisian fishing vessel, carrying about 150 people.

On August 5, 2015, a boat holding an estimated 600 people capsized off the coast of Libya. Rescuers from the Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) search and rescue vessel the Dignity I picked up survivors from the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

"They've killed us, scattered us. It's very hard," says a woman from Crater in southern Yemen. This film documents the high level of violence in and around the Yemeni city of Aden. The violence intensified in mid-July this year when the coalition took over the city of Sana'a and many Houthist rebels fled. In a single day, MSF received 206 war-wounded patients. Today, the situation is improving but, uncertainty remains high.

"We are seeing three boats...people swimming in the water," the project coordinator for the Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) search and rescue vessel Dignity I reported on August 5, 2015. A boat holding an estimated 600 people had capsized off the coast of Libya. Among those people struggling to survive was a Palestinian family and their one-year-old daughter.

Agathe Farini Sena, otherwise known as Maman Agathe, is a counselor at the Village d’Accueil at the Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) -supported Masisi general hospital in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. Women with high-risk pregnancies stay at the facility as they wait to give birth. This way, when the time comes, they have access to high quality healthcare to ensure they give birth safely.
