Haiti: "Madame, Here is Your Baby"

Laura Charlot could not afford to pay for a lifesaving C-section in Port-au-Prince. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) makes it a priority to provide life-saving, emergency obstetric care in both acute and chronic humanitarian crises. The majority of maternal deaths are avoidable when access to emergency obstetric care is ensured.
