UPDATE: Statement on MSF Staff Abducted in North Darfur

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reasserts today that it cannot confirm reports that our team, abducted on Wednesday, March 11 from Serif Umra, North Darfur, Sudan, has been released.
There are many conflicting reports in the media. MSF can only confirm that earlier yesterday evening, Friday, March 13, MSF was informed of the possible release of our team.
However, since then MSF has not seen our colleagues or had contact with them. MSF will only be able to confirm information about a release once we have direct contact with our team ourselves.
Until that time, our thoughts remain with the families of all four of our abducted colleagues. This is obviously an extremely difficult time for them.
MSF remains hopeful of a safe and swift return of our abducted colleagues.
MSF has nothing further to state at this stage.
