MSF Staff Abducted in Somalia Reported To Be in Good Health

April 21, 2009

Contrary to earlier reports in the media, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) confirms that, based on its own information, its two staff members held captive in Somalia are in good health and are eating well.

The sources on which MSF bases its information are reliable but MSF can not reveal how this information has been obtained.

MSF regrets that such inaccurate information is circulating as it is extremely painful for the relatives and friends of the two abducted colleagues.
