HIV/AIDs: Marching for Generics

At the beginning of March, 3,000 people from across Africa who are living with HIV marched through the streets of New Delhi, India to defend their rights to antiretroviral treatment. India is the world’s largest producer of the low-cost generic medicines that are used extensively in developing countries, but negotiations currently taking place with the European Union could restrict access to these life-saving medicines.
