Ivory Coast: Meeting New Medical Needs in Abidjan

May 3, 2011

While the situation in Abidjan remains tense, MSF teams have begun to see less gunshot wounds and more chronic cases at the Abobo Sud Hospital. MSF started working in the hospital at the end of February when violence was deterring health staff from coming to work and travel within the city was difficult. MSF's presence enable health activities to continue. Today the hospital is receiving up to 15 new patients daily.
