Jordan: Surgical Program Extended

July 27, 2011

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) opened a surgical program in Amman, Jordan, in 2006 to treat those wounded in the conflict in Iraq. Now, the program is being extended to treat victims of violence in other countries in the region, including the Palestinian Territories and Yemen. Nearly 1,500 people, many of whom suffered complex injuries requiring several operations and physiotherapy, have sought treatment in Amman over the past five years.
