Aid Worker Blogs
These blogs are written by Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) aid workers performing different roles in different contexts. They provide a unique insight into the lives of the people who are on the frontline of MSF's life-saving work.
Dr Bird left for his first assignment in October as an aid worker with MSF and writes from our hospital in Kimbi Lulenge health zone in Lulimba, a small town in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Angeline is a Family Physician working in Kitchanga in the North Kivu province of Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. This is her second mission with MSF.
Lorna Adams is a Canadian Family Physician, who has recently returned from working for MSF in the world’s newest country, South Sudan. Now back at home in Canada, her blog is being published retrospectively.
Trish is working for MSF as a community outreach nurse in Chad. This is her fifth mission for MSF. When not on mission, she lives and works as a nurse in the Yukon, Canada.
