The cemetery in our village has many victims of Aids, including my wife. These people succumbed to the disease before antiretroviral (ARV) treatment became available several years ago.
I am fortunate. I receive ARVs and have returned to health. It is heartbreaking to realise that had the ARVs been available, many of those graves would not be filled.
