I was born in 1966 in Gisenyi province, Rwanda. I started working as a guard for MSF in 1997 and was transferred to Kigali in September 2000. My wife Florentine and our children came with me and we rented a house.
In 2001 I fell sick. I had pain in the joints of my legs and on my back, and severe headaches.
