MSF has been working with Palestinian civilians since 1988

Since the beginning of the al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, MSF has been working to ease the emotional and physical suffering of Palestinian families who have little access to health care and great restriction of movement in Gaza, Hebron and Jenin. Teams of doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, interpreters, social workers and drivers reach people with curative medical and psychological care via mobile clinics. Home visits and counseling by psychologists or psychiatrists help traumatized individuals cope with stress. More than half of the patients are under 15. In Hebron and Jenin, the MSF team also carries out emergency interventions such as escorting pregnant women and gunshot victims to nearby hospitals. Assistance to Yatta Bedouins is provided in Hebron.
