When 3D helps restoring mobility and dignity Basil was injured by a shrapnel in Syria in October 2013. He was shot in the leg and he lost 3 fingers of his right hand. For the project team, this is the first prosthetic case of a partial hand. The goal is to give Basil a more global grip but also to give him an aesthetic anatomy of the hand. Here, Samar Ismail, the project manager in Amman, evaluates the first prototype of the hand whose fingers are stretched.
