Thank you for your interest in volunteering in our New York office.
We believe interested persons should be able to volunteer in our office even if they do not have a lot of free time. As such we accept persons for positions which range from just a few to many hours per week. These positions often involve clerical work.
However, once you have been with us over a period of time and know how our offices operate, we may be able to include you in more interesting projects. Currently we are only able to accommodate volunteers during regular working hours, though we keep information about evening and weekend availability in case of a crisis. All office volunteers must be able to come in to our only US office in New York City.

In addition to office volunteering, MSF-USA offers a paid internship program. Paid internships are usually associated with a specific educational program or goal—whether formally endorsed by an educational institution or undertaken independently by a student. As such, internships demand a greater time commitment and more regular schedule but tend to have a more substantial component to their work than clerical duties.
