Requirements

Must meet general requirements
-
Licensed Clinical Social Workers, licensed Clinical Psychologists (Phd level), psychiatric nurses and psychiatrists
-
Two years of independent licensed clinical practice
-
Experience in one of the following: trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual violence, HIV/AIDS and/or TB
Assets
-
Experience in community-based mental health programs
-
Experience with short-term therapy
-
Education and experience in 'training the trainer'
-
Experience with adults and children
-
Managerial and supervisory experience
-
HIV/AIDS counseling experience
-
PTSD counseling experience
-
One year commitment preferred
-
Especially seeking French-speakers
As a mental health officer for MSF, you may work with people suffering from post-traumatic stress related to a conflict situation, with victims of sexual violence, or with people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition, you could be asked develop a program and to train local mental health workers.
