Yemen, Aden, MSF trauma hospital, 7 December 2018 - Youssef Ahmad, 18. He was injured by a landmine explosion while driving near Kilo 16, Hodeidah. He lost consciousness after the explosion of his car. He was transferred to MSF surgical hospital in Mocha, where he had his right forearm amputated. He was then referred to Aden to undergo a laparotomy to remove shrapnel from his abdomen. Youssef’s family lives in Aden. He just finished school. Red tape on the floor means the patient is infected and needs specific antibiotic.
