Responding to COVID-19 in Niger

Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached Niger, the country's capital of Niamey has been the epicenter of the outbreak. In response, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has launched new activities in Niamey and is supporting the Ministry of Public Health on multiple fronts. We are strengthening emergency medical services, building a new treatment center for patients with COVID-19, and doing health promotion to spread awareness about the virus. In this video, MSF emergency coordinator Audace Ntezukobagira describes the team’s work in the city.
