Sarah John and her four children; Rebecca, 7, Martha, 5, William, 3, and John, 2, walked hundreds of miles from Juba, South Sudan, to the Nadapal border crossing point with Kenya.

When they reached Nadapal, the family were treated by an MSF emergency team who referred them to a nearby hospital where they were tested for measles.

MSF has vaccinated 1018 refugees for measles at its clinic in Nadapal. Measles prevention programmes are routine in many refugee situations.
