Burauen 9 December 2013: Brasilian MSF anaesthetist Felipe Bressan looks after his patient after surgery. After typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan hit the Philippines MSF set up a Bubble OT in Burauen district hospital which was heavily damaged.

After an initial test in this is the first time MSF uses this innovation in an emergency mission. The Bubble OT consists of a skin of high quality material, which is filled with air when in use. In emergencies the Bubble OT can be set up extremely quickly, which enables surgeons to work in a sterile environment, even in heavily destroyed areas.
