*** Local Caption ***Heavy rains and a storm on August 24 have caused serious damages in Lietchuor camp, host to around 36,000 South Sudanese refugees in Gambella region. Shelters were blown down and the road, built on a strip of elevated land, is the only remaining inhabitable area. MSF's hospital , maternity and ITFC, all set up in tents, (107 beds in total) and the clinic continue to operate because the ground level was previously raised with earth.
MSF's hospital (120 beds) in Itang, near Kule and Tierkidi camps, has been also flooded. Some patients were transferred to other tents, while others have been referred to other health facilities.
