On the Bourbon Argos Joshua was not alone. Besides the MSF crew and his sisters, other little ones were onboard and soon became perfect friends to play with during the long journey to Europe.

“It was so intense seeing the kids and all these people laughing and smiling, being so nice to us and wanting to help. I was really overwhelmed when they came on board, it was so real, I didn’t expect it” said Tine, Norwegian nurse on the MSF Bourbon Argos. “A friend once told me: ‘Yes it seems terrible, it’s big numbers, but actually you see that all the time, and you just get deaf to it.’ But when you are here you understand that it’s not a number at all. It’s not only medical cases. It’s people. That’s why we are so lucky to be here.”
