MSF delivers BMI food parcel to the MDR-TB patient on ambulatory treatment Rohatay Abdullaeva at her home, town of Hojeily, Karakalpakstan (Uzbekistan). Rohatay has started gaining weight recently, and now weighs 48 kg, at the height 180 cm. this is a considerable improvement to what state she was ten months ago. Before she was started on MDR-TB treatment, she had big difficulties swallowing and couldn’t eat hard food. She was so weak that she couldn’t seat up, nor turn her head. Her family fed her tea from a little spoon of from a 20mg syringe, for tea was the only thing Rohatay tolerated.
