On 5 March 2018, internally displaced Congolese push a boat into Lake Albert. It will will take them to the relative safety of Uganda. The town of Tchomia is the one of the main towns for thousands of Congolese IDPs to flee to refugee camps on the shores of Lake Albert in Uganda. After the cholera outbreak in the refugee camps in Uganda, there is a fear of a subsequent outbreak in Tchomia, which would affect thousands of IDPs taking refuge along the shoreline of Lake Albert in DRC.
