The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) released its annual “Special 301 Report” today, which reviews countries based on their intellectual property (IP) rights protection and enforcement. Countries that are deemed by the U.S. to not protect IP strongly enough are placed on this watch list.

New research published today in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal by the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides strong evidence that a combination of two new drugs for tuberculosis (TB)—the world’s leading infectious disease killer—could be used to treat drug-resistant (DR-TB) forms of the disease.

The international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has filed a legal petition to the Supreme Court of South Korea requesting that the court review Pfizer’s patent to for its pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV).

Pfizer does not deserve the patent it was granted in August on its pneumonia vaccine Prevnar13 (PCV13), said the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). MSF is set to argue tomorrow in the High Court of Delhi that it should be overturned because the patent doesn’t meet the standards laid out in India’s Patents Act.

The interactive exhibit seeks to tell the individual stories of the more than 65 million displaced people worldwide, and to help visitors understand the humanitarian consequences of displacement. Forced From Home exhibitions have already toured Boulder and Salt Lake City in September, welcoming more than 6,000 visitors.
