In April, MSF staff demonstrated outside a shareholders meeting at Johnson & Johnson’s headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey, calling on the company to lower the cost of the tuberculosis drug bedaquiline to $1 per day.

For 20 years MSF’s Access Campaign has advocated for medical research and development that prioritizes the needs of the patients we care for and delivers treatments that people can afford. Though the campaign has won important victories along the way, today the challenges we face are bigger than ever. As we prepare for the work—and fights—to come, it’s important to reflect on that the Access Campaign has achieved over two decades of advocacy.
