Underreported: Hundreds of Thousands Displaced by Conflict in Southern Philippines

Some 360,000 people have been forced from their homes in Marawi City, the Philippines, as the military tries regain control from fighters allied with the Islamic State group. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is providing clean water and mental health counseling to thousands of displaced people taking shelter wherever they can find it—in garages, warehouses, schools, and mosques near the city.
