Building a new facility, treating patients in Tanauan, Philippines

The town of Tanauan, the Philippines, was nearly flattened by Typhoon Haiyan; of the 15 hospitals in the area, 14 were destroyed. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) medical staff had been seeing people inside a municipal building with no electricity while logistics staff built a five-tent facility next door. The facility is up and running now and MSF teams are seeing 230 consultations per day.
