CAR: Bringing Medical Care to War-Affected Populations

In the northwest of Central African Republic, tens of thousands of people are living in the bush in extremely precarious conditions. They have fled an armed conflict between government troops and rebel factions that began in 2005. In addition there are attacks by armed bandits who are active in the region. Access to health care has been drastically reduced due to insecurity. This has led MSF to open programs in several towns in the region providing free health care for the population.
