Emergency room in Syrian besieged area near Damascus

This video was taken in an emergency room in the Damascus suburb of East Ghouta in late 2014, following a series of bombings in the area. Recently, the area has again come under sustained bombardment, with equally brutal consequences. Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is supporting Syrian medics in facilities where the humanitarian organization is unable to set up its own activities. No MSF staff are present in these makeshift hospitals and health centers, but the organization provides both material support and remote training support to help the hospitals cope with extreme medical needs.
