Mozambican MSF staff rush to bring Cyclone Idai relief

Mozambican Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff rushed to bring aid to the people of their city - Beira - after it was devastated by Cyclone Idai on March 14. Many of the 500,000 residents of Beira lost their homes and livelihoods to the storm. "It was just the roof that flew off my house. But them, no, they lost everything," said MSF nurse Egida Rosa Naife. With limited access to electricity or clean water, waterborne diseases have already begun to spread. MSF staff have been treating more than 200 patients per day for cholera.
