Renewed violence and inadequate assistance in CAR

Renewed violence in September forced 40,000 people in Bangui, capital city of Central African Republic (CAR) to flee their homes. The situation remains unstable in Bagui; displaced people are sheltering at a camp at Mpoko airport and other sites such as Benzvi camp, shown here. The number of displaced people continues to rise and basic needs like hygiene and shelter are not being met. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is running mobile medical clinics here.
