If you’re interested in:

  • Tax-smart investing in your retirement security
  • While at the same time, contributing to an organization that provides medical humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people worldwide every year

A charitable gift annuity (CGA) with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) might be the perfect fit. And the process is as easy as CGAs are valuable.

How CGAs Work
  1. You gift us cash or securities of $10,000 or more
  2. You, or a loved one you name, receives fixed payments for life (an annuity), a portion of which may be tax-free
  3. You also get a charitable tax deduction for the gift portion of the annuity
  4. After your lifetime, the remaining funds go to support our critical humanitarian work

Establish a CGA or learn more

If you are ready to set up a CGA or would like to obtain more information, please complete and submit the form below. By request, MSF can send you a personalized illustration of how a CGA can pay you income for life.

A CGA is a lifelong contract that benefits Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), gives you and/or a loved one a generous income, and has significant tax advantages. Payment rates will vary depending on the number of annuitants, the age of the annuitants, the gift date, and the date when payments begin.

Minimum Amount: $10,000
Minimum Age: 65

If you are under the age of 65, you have the option of a deferred gift annuity. This allows you to make a gift now with payments to begin at a future date-at least one year after the gift is made. Because the payments are deferred, the annuity rate is typically higher, reflecting the longer investment period. The minimum age at which payments may start is 65 and the maximum deferral period is 15 years.

Assets Accepted: Cash, appreciated marketable securities, or, under limited circumstances, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from a donor’s IRA (the donor must be at least 70½ years old).

Payment Schedule: Annual, semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly

NOTE: MSF is not able to issue charitable gift annuities to residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Hawaii or North Dakota.
