June 22, 2020

11:00AM-12:00PM ET

Event type: Live online

Join us for this special online event to learn more about how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the world’s most vulnerable people.

The panel will feature contemporary artist and activist Ai Weiwei in conversation with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Deputy Director of Operations Kenneth Lavelle, Human Rights Watch Executive Director Ken Roth, and Refugees International Vice President for Strategic Outreach Cindy Huang. Together they will discuss the crucial importance of support for vulnerable communities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges facing humanitarian and human rights organizations, and solutions to ensure an inclusive medical response for those who need it most. Alexandra Munroe, senior curator for the Guggenheim Museum, will moderate the discussion and audience Q&A.

This event is brought to you by Ai Weiwei MASK, an art project in collaboration with eBay for Charity, that is raising funds for the COVID-19 humanitarian and human rights efforts undertaken by MSF, Human Rights Watch, and Refugees International.
