Invisible Suffering in DRC

Andre Quillien/MSF

The people in east Democratic Republic of Congo have lived in the grip of an emergency for twenty years. Around three million people have been forced out of their homes. Many of the displaced have dropped out of sight, and are thus deprived of state-provided services and humanitarian aid. On March 3rd, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) published a report denouncing the silent suffering of the Congolese people.
