Dr. Carrie Teicher, MD, MPH, is the chief programs officer at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières USA. She leads MSF USA's work on research and analysis, policy and advocacy, and representation and diplomacy, in addition to overseeing the grants unit and the health/medical unit. Carrie has worked for MSF in multiple roles across four continents and two decades, including as a medical and surgical epidemiologist for Epicentre, where she authored dozens of peer reviewed abstracts and publications. She started her career in global public health and humanitarian medicine when she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali in 2001 after graduating from Barnard. She holds an MD from Tel Aviv University and an MPH from Columbia University, where she currently has an academic appointment at the Mailman School of Public Health.
