Dr. Miriam Hernández began working with MSF in Mexico in 2016, caring for survivors of sexual violence in Acapulco, Guerrero until the project closed in December 2018. In 2019, she worked in MSF's migration project in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and then in Tenosique, Tabasco, on the southern border. During this time, she collaborated and participated in the COVID-19 emergency response in Tijuana. She recently finished her first MSF assignment as an expatriate in Tecún Umán, Guatemala for the opening of the migration project as mobile health activity manager. Dr. Hernández currently holds the same position in the Tegucigalpa team in Honduras where she started activities in mobile clinics for care of the people on the move.
