Joe Lisi is an organization and people leader with more than 15 years of experience producing people and HR strategies that define and support mission-driven organizations. He has spent the last 13 years as part of the HR team at Human Rights Watch (HRW), leading the team since 2018. During his time there, he oversaw all aspects of people and culture, supporting more than 500 HRW staff located across more than 70 countries. 

Joe also led key organizational initiatives focused on staff well-being, compensation strategy, and job architecture, helping to strengthen employee support systems and organizational effectiveness during periods of growth and change. Prior to HRW, he led recruitment and onboarding for The Walt Disney Company in New York City.
