Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) brings mobile medical clinics to the main crossing points between Nicaragua and Honduras in order to reach migrants on their way north. People often stop in the town of Trojes to apply for a temporary permit to legally cross through Honduras, and while they are waiting, MSF offers medical and mental health services, as well as social support. Health promoters provide information on where people can find safe lodging and other services in Central America and Mexico.
