Migration Across the Mediterranean

Ikram N'gadi

The vast Mediterranean Sea is the world’s most treacherous passage for migrants. An estimated 20,000 people have died risking their lives to migrate from conflict ridden countries to Europe in the past 15 years. More than 1,750 have perished so far in 2015, most from Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea and Somalia.
