MSF and Local NGO Tackle Cervical Cancer in Philippines

Cervical cancer kills 12 women in the Philippines every day, but it's a preventable disease. So far, hundreds of women have visited the clinic run by Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and local NGO Likhaan in the Manila slums to get screened or treated. The team offers cervical cancer prevention, family planning consultations, and an ongoing HPV vaccination campaign, targeting 25,000 girls.
