People in Yemen are caught in the midst of a devastating war. Millions are in desperate need of medical care, and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is on the front lines providing lifesaving aid.

MSF has over 2,000 staff on the ground in Yemen operating in 12 hospitals, many in areas of active conflict. We also support more than 20 health facilities across the country. These teams are up against extreme conditions: As the war has escalated, so too have the medical needs of our patients. MSF teams are adapting quickly, treating everything from war wounds and burns to cholera and diphtheria, working in the thick of a massive humanitarian crisis.

In the timeline below, we look back on the past seven years of our work at an emergency hospital in Yemen.
